Data can be added to the system via the SmartThings platform. This is ideal if you already have your devices connected to SmartThings, either through a hub or one of the many integrations the platform offers.

Follow these steps to create a Personal Access Token that will allow ConstantGraph to connect to your SmartThings account. You can only link to one SmartThings account but separate locations in SmartThings will connect to separate controllers in ConstantGraph.

1. Click the button below to log into your SmartThings account (opens in a new tab)
2. Under Token Name type "ConstantGraph"
3. Under Authorized Scopes / Devices - select "see all devices"
4. Under Authorized Scopes / Locations - select "see all locations"
5. Click GENERATE TOKEN
6. Copy your access token into the box below

Some capabilities are common and useful such as powerMeter or temperatureMeasurement and import directly. Others are not so useful and may not be imported such as polling and healthCheck. To control what gets imported ensure you have the correct data types selected. ConstantGraph should be able to pull in anything in the history tab on a specific device in the SmartThings app.
